00:00:00.320 Speaker 1 [outro jingle] Hi, I'm Steven, and I'm the showrunner for this podcast, Collected.
00:00:06.000 Speaker 1 And I've got a quick update for you. So first of all, these episodes are
00:00:11.820 Speaker 1 developer commentaries. They're for updates, commentary on the show itself, the
00:00:16.660 Speaker 1 development process, whatever I'm happen to be thinking at the time, uh, education,
00:00:21.640 Speaker 1 stuff like that. So if you're only interested in the stories, you can skip these.
00:00:26.220 Speaker 1 Second of all, the release schedule for Mortal Steel, which is Season one, is every
00:00:32.000 Speaker 1 two weeks. So that means that there'll be a new episode, episode two, this Friday.
00:00:37.620 Speaker 1 And I'll try to release them midnight the night before. So technically right at the
00:00:41.600 Speaker 1 very end of Thursday. It's gonna be two weeks for a while, at least until I can hire
00:00:46.360 Speaker 1 a team, so more than just me. More on that later. This gives me some time to do
00:00:52.300 Speaker 1 some backend business stuff, to do things that are about planning the future of the
00:00:56.660 Speaker 1 show itself, rather than just making the episodes. So eventually we'll be able to
00:01:01.720 Speaker 1 switch to a weekly schedule, but it's gonna take a little bit of time, so hopefully
00:01:05.280 Speaker 1 you can bear with me until then. I still think that this is a pretty fast release
00:01:08.540 Speaker 1 schedule for a podcast like this. Speaking of business stuff, if you are an
00:01:14.400 Speaker 1 established author or you know a literary agent, I am interested and would love to
00:01:20.200 Speaker 1 talk to you. So I'm looking for fantasy and science fiction authors with an email
00:01:24.760 Speaker 1 list or social media following of ten thousand or more people, established authors,
00:01:29.560 Speaker 1 uh, because I'm looking to sign a few of them by the end of the year in order to
00:01:33.240 Speaker 1 help me make stories like this. So if you know anyone like that, please have them
00:01:37.980 Speaker 1 contact me. I am Steven@collectedaudio.com. I would really
00:01:43.560 Speaker 1 appreciate that. If you are an up-and-coming author, do not despair. I have some big
00:01:49.180 Speaker 1 things planned for you too, and I'll tell you a little bit more about that in the
00:01:52.980 Speaker 1 master plan development series that I have coming up in a few weeks. I've already
00:01:57.640 Speaker 1 got it written. I just don't want to pollute this feed with too much developer
00:02:01.680 Speaker 1 commentary. It should be mostly about stories. Last bit of housekeeping. What are
00:02:06.820 Speaker 1 these older episodes before Mortal Steel? You probably have seen them and wondered
00:02:12.180 Speaker 1 what they're for. Those are essentially test stories. They're pilots. They're just
00:02:16.700 Speaker 1 the first and second episode of a bunch of different possible stories that we could
00:02:20.780 Speaker 1 produce into full seasons. So like Mortal Steel, they are stories that I wrote just
00:02:25.260 Speaker 1 to try out a world and characters. They have much lower production value than the
00:02:31.100 Speaker 1 full seasons. So take that into account when you listen to them. The stories are
00:02:35.400 Speaker 1 still good, uh, but they're much less polished. The recordings are worse, and
00:02:39.520 Speaker 1 there's very little sound design. So keep that in mind if you decide to listen to
00:02:42.680 Speaker 1 them. I would encourage you to listen to them. I'd love to hear what you think,
00:02:47.000 Speaker 1 especially if you would like to vote for what Season two will be. If you've got a
00:02:51.300 Speaker 1 favorite, please tell me. That's it for this update. Just a short one. And you will
00:02:56.380 Speaker 1 hear a new episode of Mortal Steel this Friday. See ya.
