00:00:01.620 Speaker 1 Hi, this is part four of the miniseries, "The Gift of Everything." This one is much

00:00:07.580 Speaker 1 more strategic and tactical. It is everything I know about

00:00:13.800 Speaker 1 getting to a point of transcendence, to the milestone that I've mentioned in

00:00:20.480 Speaker 1 previous episodes, which is you have the fundamental realization that you are

00:00:25.780 Speaker 1 actually your entire reality. And we are... So

00:00:31.780 Speaker 1 full disclosure, everything I'm suggesting that one could try is based on a

00:00:37.780 Speaker 1 sample size of one. Right? So I mean, I did it. [chuckles] So, uh, it would be great

00:00:43.540 Speaker 1 to have a larger sample size, but this is what we got, you know. Uh, so to getting

00:00:47.720 Speaker 1 to that level of insight and realization in a direct way, and all the experiences

00:00:52.580 Speaker 1 that seem to come after it,

00:00:55.820 Speaker 1 I'm going to relay everything I know about what worked, what didn't work, how it

00:01:00.900 Speaker 1 felt, [chuckles] what you should consider trying, what was the most important. So

00:01:04.940 Speaker 1 it's gonna be a lot of, uh, random one-off tips, but I'm also gonna be presenting my

00:01:09.020 Speaker 1 theories on how it works and what definitely doesn't work,

00:01:14.680 Speaker 1 um, what slowed me down, that sort of thing.

00:01:19.080 Speaker 1 Again, none of this is direct advice. Some of it could be wrong. If it feels wrong

00:01:22.960 Speaker 1 for you, don't do it. In general, um, this whole series comes with

00:01:28.940 Speaker 1 this disclosure, but this one definitely does.

00:01:32.740 Speaker 1 If you are not in a stable place in your life, you are not mentally or emotionally

00:01:37.840 Speaker 1 well, if you, uh, pardon my French, can't handle your shit,

00:01:43.460 Speaker 1 then you should not yet embark on [chuckles] this journey. Uh, you should

00:01:49.360 Speaker 1 get to a place of stability in your life, where if something bad were to happen to

00:01:54.900 Speaker 1 you tomorrow, if you got really bad news, um, you would still be able to function.

00:01:58.680 Speaker 1 You could still go to work, you could still take care of yourself and your children.

00:02:01.900 Speaker 1 You could handle something traumatic happening to you, and that's not an easy thing

00:02:06.680 Speaker 1 to say to somebody. But when you're looking...

00:02:10.900 Speaker 1 [chuckles] Uh, as they say, if you peer into the void, uh, the void will peer back.

00:02:17.280 Speaker 1 So this is not for the faint of heart. Uh, but if you want answers to big questions,

00:02:22.460 Speaker 1 and you wanna see beyond the material, uh, in a very literal way, then

00:02:28.480 Speaker 1 [chuckles] this is what it takes. Um, so

00:02:32.740 Speaker 1 [laughs] I'm gonna bother editing.

00:02:42.600 Speaker 1 [laughs] Ah. I said I would do a mindsight demonstration. Not that anyone was ever

00:02:48.620 Speaker 1 testing me. It's probably common knowledge at this point. Here's some cards. They're

00:02:53.620 Speaker 1 random. Take my word for it or don't. [laughs] That part doesn't matter for me. Uh,

00:02:58.700 Speaker 1 but just as evidence, if you should choose to believe it, here's some random cards.

00:03:04.160 Speaker 1 They look like this. My eyes are now closed. This can be done with blindfolds. I

00:03:09.040 Speaker 1 feel like you just need to see that I'm not full of BS, so we're gonna pause real

00:03:12.920 Speaker 1 quick [laughs] and say that weird stuff's gonna happen to you, um,

00:03:19.260 Speaker 1 as you, as you do this. So I can already see. You can't tell that I can see, but I

00:03:23.660 Speaker 1 can. Uh, I can see as if I'm roughly looking through my eyes, even though they are

00:03:28.460 Speaker 1 closed. You're gonna be able to do and experience things that are going to shock you

00:03:34.560 Speaker 1 and open, pry open your... what you thought was possible in a direct way that is

00:03:40.460 Speaker 1 definitely happening to you and you did not expect. Now, almost all of it will be

00:03:44.980 Speaker 1 good, but not all of it, and you're gonna have to learn to deal with these things.

00:03:51.280 Speaker 1 There are principles along the way that can help, uh, keep you safe and secure, but

00:03:56.120 Speaker 1 in general, don't forget it's your reality. Uh, but if you are not

00:04:01.920 Speaker 1 ready for what's happening, do not embark on this trip, because you're going to get

00:04:06.700 Speaker 1 what you ask for. Be careful what you ask for. You're going to get what you ask for.

00:04:11.160 Speaker 1 All right, so this is a shape. I don't know what shape it is yet, 'cause I can't see

00:04:14.520 Speaker 1 it yet. Oh, it's a plus sign. I don't know which one this is yet, 'cause I can't see

00:04:19.700 Speaker 1 the other side. Oh, it's also a plus sign. [laughs] What, are they all plus signs?

00:04:23.520 Speaker 1 No, that's a circle.

00:04:27.140 Speaker 1 So these are random. That's a star.

00:04:30.720 Speaker 1 Those are some X's. I forgot that was in the deck. Whatever that is. Wavy

00:04:36.600 Speaker 1 lines, they're red.

00:04:39.440 Speaker 1 That's a red plus sign.

00:04:41.960 Speaker 1 I didn't show you. I think that's, yep, wavy lines. They look blue. And a green plus

00:04:46.740 Speaker 1 sign. So once you can do stuff like that, you're like, "Okay, cool.

00:04:53.700 Speaker 1 I guess the people I'm talking to in my dreams, the interesting experiences that I'm

00:04:58.080 Speaker 1 having, uh, in meditation or otherwise are real." So the full

00:05:03.840 Speaker 1 disclosure before we begin is, if you don't want things you didn't

00:05:09.800 Speaker 1 really think were possible to happen to you, do not follow these instructions until

00:05:15.160 Speaker 1 you are ready to. So if you don't feel ready, you can't handle it, [laughs]

00:05:21.180 Speaker 1 don't do it. That doesn't mean that it will go wrong, uh, but, you know,

00:05:28.880 Speaker 1 you gotta be able to handle massive change, right? Uh, seeing a UFO sounds fun

00:05:35.260 Speaker 1 until you're right there and it's in front of you and you're like, "Hmm,

00:05:40.460 Speaker 1 this is real. I don't know what that is." And then depending on how you feel,

00:05:45.660 Speaker 1 depending on your worldview, your religious views, your personal beliefs, it could

00:05:49.660 Speaker 1 be very unsettling. Uh, so just keep that in mind. You have to be able to process

00:05:55.140 Speaker 1 your trauma, because it's going to happen. And so we're gonna talk about this whole

00:05:59.520 Speaker 1 process of what it takes. Um, what do you do when you're scared or when something

00:06:03.580 Speaker 1 bad is happening?

00:06:06.100 Speaker 1 How do you make sense of things? How do you advance? Is there a progression system?

00:06:10.940 Speaker 1 Yes, I'm gonna answer the rhetorical question. It is. There is. [chuckles] How does

00:06:15.300 Speaker 1 it seem to work? What are the principles? How do you get to that point? What works?

00:06:20.460 Speaker 1 And so I'll just walk through the whole process. So I guess start to finish, I

00:06:26.140 Speaker 1 don't, you know, where does something start and something finish? It's my whole

00:06:28.740 Speaker 1 life, so... But I didn't embark on this quest seriously un-until I'd had

00:06:34.740 Speaker 1 that first UFO experience, as I mentioned in earlier episodes, because it sort of

00:06:38.800 Speaker 1 shook my worldview. I needed to know. So there's a few fundamental principles that

00:06:43.860 Speaker 1 are absolutely required for you to move along some path of transcendence or

00:06:49.440 Speaker 1 enlightenment or whatever you're in this for, uh, increased awareness, the ability

00:06:54.820 Speaker 1 to communicate with the other side, to know who you are, answer big questions, uh,

00:07:00.260 Speaker 1 to understand deep truths about the world in a first-hand, direct way. If you're

00:07:06.240 Speaker 1 after all that stuff, you wanna know what it's all about, and you don't wanna ask

00:07:09.580 Speaker 1 anyone else's permission, you just wanna find out. This is compatible with any

00:07:15.180 Speaker 1 reasonable, uh, religion. It's compatible with any spiritual views. It's just a set

00:07:20.060 Speaker 1 of steps to do. It is up to you, and always up to you, to decide what it all means.

00:07:25.820 Speaker 1 Uh, I will not tell you what it means. I will tell you my beliefs and how I came to

00:07:29.540 Speaker 1 them, but ultimately, it is your responsibility to decide what all this

00:07:35.220 Speaker 1 means and how it works and what the, what matters. Never give that up, uh,

00:07:41.280 Speaker 1 for anybody. Yeah, that's your responsibility. You have another responsibility, in

00:07:45.620 Speaker 1 my opinion, which is to be authentic to yourself. What you want is what you want. If

00:07:51.560 Speaker 1 it feels true or it feels right and isn't just

00:07:56.240 Speaker 1 a poorly chosen value or an insecurity, but like, "No, this is who I am. I'm not

00:08:00.800 Speaker 1 doing that. I don't like this. I don't feel like I need to," then don't. [chuckles]

00:08:05.720 Speaker 1 No one's, no one can make you. Refer to earlier lessons. Don't forget. It's your

00:08:09.920 Speaker 1 reality. Don't let anyone push you around. I mean, don't be a jerk. [chuckles] Be

00:08:14.380 Speaker 1 careful. But in general, uh, it's not bad, but don't forget you have control. All

00:08:19.240 Speaker 1 right. So what's the actual process? So over these few years, what is this, three,

00:08:23.200 Speaker 1 four years?

00:08:26.300 Speaker 1 I started meditating. I did all kinds of different meditations. Meditation is great

00:08:30.340 Speaker 1 because it stills your mind, and it trains the skill of discernment. That is the

00:08:34.600 Speaker 1 ability to notice the difference between things in your awareness. That seems like

00:08:40.620 Speaker 1 a silly skill, but it is a master skill, especially when you need to start

00:08:46.520 Speaker 1 determining, okay, what is real? How do I know what is real? What does it mean for

00:08:50.660 Speaker 1 something to be real? How do I know whether that was my thought? How do I know

00:08:55.560 Speaker 1 whether I just thought I saw something or I imagined it? It is a way of

00:09:01.420 Speaker 1 noticing differences between things and noticing in finer, finer detail.

00:09:07.280 Speaker 1 Cool. Uh, so that's helpful, but it also teaches you how to still your mind, how to

00:09:11.400 Speaker 1 be okay in almost any situation. So I recommend the book "The Untethered Soul." Just

00:09:16.320 Speaker 1 start with that book. Uh, it's... Or the audiobook version. Absolutely incredible.

00:09:21.780 Speaker 1 It will teach you everything you need to know about how to be okay and how to be

00:09:26.500 Speaker 1 content and how to train your body, most of your mind, and your,

00:09:32.560 Speaker 1 I guess, emotions, in a sense, to be able to control your own mind and your own

00:09:37.580 Speaker 1 mental state. You're gonna need that. It also allows you to still your mind, um, and

00:09:43.560 Speaker 1 to be okay in confusing situations. You're gonna need that. Uh, so in general, some

00:09:49.480 Speaker 1 level of grit is necessary. The ability to handle change is going to be critical.

00:09:54.980 Speaker 1 You have to be somewhat open-minded. You have to be able to entertain stupid ideas

00:10:00.600 Speaker 1 long enough to find out if they are true. Um, you're allowed to have problems.

00:10:04.880 Speaker 1 That's totally fine. But the basic premise here, and my model for how this works, at

00:10:10.300 Speaker 1 least getting to the point where I've gotten to, I'm not qualified to say anything

00:10:13.640 Speaker 1 beyond that 'cause that's where I'm at, is that Maslow's hierarchy, so your basic

00:10:19.240 Speaker 1 needs moving up to self-actualization, isn't just a pyramid that ends at the top.

00:10:24.140 Speaker 1 Turns out self-actualization keeps going. It's just that the farther you go, the

00:10:29.940 Speaker 1 more self there is to actualize. Your sense of self grows. Your whole behavior and

00:10:34.920 Speaker 1 worldview changes. It doesn't stop. Uh, so there is more beyond self-actualization.

00:10:41.420 Speaker 1 Uh, it just stops being about only you and becomes more about connectivity to things

00:10:46.220 Speaker 1 that you did not necessarily know that existed or even more sensitivity within

00:10:50.280 Speaker 1 yourself.

00:10:52.900 Speaker 1 So here is the rough premise for the things that I think are the most important.

00:10:57.960 Speaker 1 These are basic practices that you can begin doing. The first is meditation, and

00:11:02.420 Speaker 1 that is prob- Okay, the very first is seeking. That is you just, you wanna know.

00:11:08.680 Speaker 1 You set an intention. You want to know answers to big questions like, "Who am I? Who

00:11:12.360 Speaker 1 am I really? How does this place actually work? Where did I come from?" Whatever

00:11:16.480 Speaker 1 your big questions are. You wanna know your deity of choice. You know, "Why did you

00:11:21.100 Speaker 1 make me? Why are things like this?" Whatever. Yeah, I, I wanna know how it all

00:11:25.140 Speaker 1 works. I want the big answers. I wanna connect beyond myself. Whatever your

00:11:30.760 Speaker 1 motivating factor is, you have to want it, and you gotta want it in a way that you

00:11:35.300 Speaker 1 will not be easily dissuaded. I mean discouraged, not like intimidated, but more

00:11:40.400 Speaker 1 like you need to be able to get no results for weeks on end or months, or

00:11:46.460 Speaker 1 a few results and be frustrated and still want it. You have to have a pursuit of

00:11:52.040 Speaker 1 what I guess most people would call spiritual development. You wanna know. You wanna

00:11:56.220 Speaker 1 feel content. You want to understand it all. And if, so if you lose that or it

00:12:01.760 Speaker 1 wanes, it is a necessary precondition. If you don't want it, you're not gonna get

00:12:05.860 Speaker 1 it. Um, so don't ever lose track of that 'cause that is a necessary precondition and

00:12:10.880 Speaker 1 probably the most important, is that you actually want it, and you can sustain that

00:12:14.380 Speaker 1 desire, and it's important to you.

00:12:17.872 Speaker 1 The second is meditation. So this is more of a doing practice. Uh, all kinds of

00:12:22.592 Speaker 1 meditation are useful in different ways, but you are after inner exploration. If I

00:12:27.132 Speaker 1 could offer some suggestions,

00:12:30.252 Speaker 1 um, don't worry about it. [chuckles] It's the-- Don't-- I didn't get hung

00:12:36.272 Speaker 1 up on dogma. I didn't study under anybody. I didn't look up a bunch of stuff. I read

00:12:40.612 Speaker 1 the Yoga Sutras at some point, and I'm like, "Oh, this is pretty great. What else do

00:12:43.692 Speaker 1 I need to know?" So go read that. There's some excellent, uh, translations with

00:12:48.172 Speaker 1 commentary. Uh, perfect. Go do that. But the gist is you have in

00:12:54.152 Speaker 1 meditation strategy, so that is you have a specific target. What are you putting

00:12:59.352 Speaker 1 your attention on? All a meditation is, is a deliberate time to practice putting

00:13:04.712 Speaker 1 your attention on something. You're moving around your conscious awareness, right?

00:13:09.952 Speaker 1 So you're kinda just doing reps with a barbell, right? That's what this is. This is

00:13:14.332 Speaker 1 a general thing, and you're gonna need that because it, it's used throughout

00:13:18.452 Speaker 1 everything. Um, so you're g- you need to do it every day. I recommend at least 30

00:13:23.392 Speaker 1 minutes. Uh, it sounds like a long session, and the more intently you do it, the s-

00:13:28.172 Speaker 1 the more seriousness you do it with an intention. Generally speaking, if you're just

00:13:32.692 Speaker 1 starting out or you've been doing meditation just to feel better, your goal is to

00:13:36.852 Speaker 1 think of nothing, do nothing, and don't worry about thoughts or emotions or anything

00:13:40.272 Speaker 1 that comes up. Just, like, let them slide off of you, and just try to have a wide

00:13:45.652 Speaker 1 open, you know, mildly happy, like, a gaze of attention. You don't really need to

00:13:50.312 Speaker 1 focus on anything at all. That's kinda the goal is to let it continually slip off

00:13:53.632 Speaker 1 everything until, as you go through the protocol, you begin to, if you can

00:13:59.512 Speaker 1 keep going, you'll eventually get to ego dissolution, and your whole sense of self

00:14:03.672 Speaker 1 dissolves. That takes a long time, uh, to get to that level of practice for most

00:14:07.812 Speaker 1 people. Again, if you have a history of all sorts of [chuckles] mental disorders and

00:14:12.692 Speaker 1 you're not in a stable place, don't do this stuff. Like, it's, you have a pretty

00:14:18.652 Speaker 1 messed up Jenga tower, like [chuckles] don't, don't go shaking it. Uh, you need to

00:14:23.872 Speaker 1 get yourself to a healthy place if you can first. That's a great kind of meditation.

00:14:28.992 Speaker 1 Any kind of non-dual meditation is excellent. Uh, I really liked, um, Sam Harris'

00:14:34.772 Speaker 1 Waking Up app, uh, and the courses there are also good. I recommend those as well.

00:14:40.032 Speaker 1 They're very tactical, um, uh, because you can go through them. And they'll teach

00:14:43.632 Speaker 1 you, oh, where do my thoughts come from? Oh, wow, I did not make these thoughts

00:14:47.172 Speaker 1 happen. I don't know where thoughts come from. How do I know this is my hand? Where

00:14:51.172 Speaker 1 is the, how, where is the line between myself and the world? All these sorts of

00:14:55.432 Speaker 1 things are great one-on-one practices. But in general, the kind of meditation that I

00:15:00.272 Speaker 1 do is sort of contemplative. It's like I pick a target focus. Usually, it is

00:15:05.252 Speaker 1 nothing. It is the goal to, like, unwind the self. You just relax and release, and

00:15:11.252 Speaker 1 you try to clear your mind. You're trying to let go. You just let go over and over

00:15:15.872 Speaker 1 again. Let go until you're just a sort of warm, heavy soup with your attention's not

00:15:21.312 Speaker 1 really on anything. The thoughts stop coming. It's pretty still. It takes a while to

00:15:25.852 Speaker 1 get there, a lot of practice, and sometimes a lot of time per session. You wanna get

00:15:30.312 Speaker 1 to that point. The premise is, is that you are, especially if you set the intention

00:15:34.752 Speaker 1 because you're seeking, I want these things, I want these things, you are connecting

00:15:39.492 Speaker 1 to some higher self. You're connecting and presumably to your own soul, to... You're

00:15:44.432 Speaker 1 reducing the noise level. The premise is that you're reducing the noise level, and

00:15:48.192 Speaker 1 you're forming some connection, spiritually speaking. I don't know how it works.

00:15:52.572 Speaker 1 Don't ask me. [chuckles] But I know it does. Uh, to, to your deity of choice, the

00:15:58.552 Speaker 1 other side, however you wanna frame it, it doesn't matter. You're forming a

00:16:02.452 Speaker 1 connection because it's quiet, and it's still, and you've set that intention. So now

00:16:07.012 Speaker 1 there's, like, a channel opening up. You can think of this as running a channel

00:16:09.772 Speaker 1 between you and whatever you're trying to connect to, some great beyond or a sense

00:16:14.152 Speaker 1 of inner knowledge or intuition.

00:16:17.872 Speaker 1 That's what you're doing. So these are your basic reps. You wanna do that. Now, some

00:16:21.972 Speaker 1 other basic practices that you're going to do are

00:16:26.392 Speaker 1 beginning from there during the day, you wanna pay attention to your own state.

00:16:32.872 Speaker 1 Uh, we're gonna get into a whole bunch of practices from there, but if you just do

00:16:36.812 Speaker 1 anything, do those two things. Just meditate seriously every day and want to know.

00:16:41.152 Speaker 1 And the third is using your own intuition. This is probably the only other, like,

00:16:44.792 Speaker 1 basic ingredient. Trusting yourself, follow your heart, that answer, basically. You

00:16:50.072 Speaker 1 are trusting your own internal machinery to guide you to the destination. That's the

00:16:54.372 Speaker 1 premise. Your own soul already wants to be free, right? That's the idea. And because

00:16:59.752 Speaker 1 it wants to be free, or it wants to know its creator or its own existence, it will

00:17:04.412 Speaker 1 naturally grow in that direction with just a little encouragement. It already knows

00:17:08.592 Speaker 1 what to do. You don't have to consciously know. And so all you really have to do is

00:17:12.532 Speaker 1 pay attention in your everyday life, just while you're walking around outside of

00:17:16.172 Speaker 1 meditation, and you're looking for

00:17:20.192 Speaker 1 a feeling. You're learning to trust your own intuition. I have a feeling that

00:17:24.152 Speaker 1 talking to this person is important. I have a feeling that leaving this

00:17:26.512 Speaker 1 relationship's important. I have a feeling that I shouldn't really call that guy who

00:17:30.352 Speaker 1 seemed like a cool friend. You're gonna learn how to start trusting that and

00:17:33.932 Speaker 1 following it. I highly recommend once you have the confidence to do this, give

00:17:38.012 Speaker 1 yourself a test. For two weeks, I, instead of planning my life, instead of having it

00:17:42.892 Speaker 1 all planned out and figured out, left brain, this, then this, then that, I am going

00:17:47.532 Speaker 1 to try at every step to trust my own intuition, not logical, not thinking, not

00:17:52.132 Speaker 1 planning. I have a sense. I have a feeling I should just do this. I should try that

00:17:57.852 Speaker 1 and learn to take that seriously because that is essentially your compass, hence the

00:18:03.212 Speaker 1 name of the blog, Different Compass, that I write. That is the compass you're

00:18:06.872 Speaker 1 learning to trust. It's your own internal compass, which is pointing you to where

00:18:10.252 Speaker 1 you need to go. Or somebody else is helping you point it to where it needs to go.

00:18:14.872 Speaker 1 Uh, make no claims on that. So learn to trust your own internal judgments, largely

00:18:20.272 Speaker 1 your own intuition. Cool. Do those three things, and you'll get there eventually.

00:18:24.784 Speaker 1 [laughs] You don't have to listen to anything else I say. You already know how to do

00:18:27.964 Speaker 1 it. You just need to make the time and space, and you have to have the intention.

00:18:31.684 Speaker 1 You have to want it. If you do those things, you'll eventually get there. So what

00:18:34.784 Speaker 1 follows from here is, like, here is, like, things that definitely don't work. Here

00:18:40.524 Speaker 1 are the things that will speed it up if you're obsessive and [chuckles] you wanna go

00:18:44.604 Speaker 1 faster. Uh, here is my understanding of the general process and the sort of

00:18:50.044 Speaker 1 stages that you might go through. It's based, again, just based on sample size of

00:18:53.784 Speaker 1 one. Um,

00:18:57.264 Speaker 1 and you can follow it, uh, if it feels right. Use your own intuition to know whether

00:19:01.444 Speaker 1 any of these one thing-- many of these things are useful. So again, the goal is to

00:19:05.424 Speaker 1 get to a point where you have the direct realization that you are your reality, and

00:19:09.644 Speaker 1 you can feel that the stuff around you is you. And so there's a

00:19:15.584 Speaker 1 lot of sta-steps in between there, and they're all very motivating and exciting, and

00:19:19.044 Speaker 1 honestly, they're probably gonna be unique to you. I do think there are general

00:19:22.144 Speaker 1 patterns, so I am portraying this as if this is how it worked for everyone. I don't

00:19:26.104 Speaker 1 know that. I think that it is a general... Most of these things will probably be

00:19:30.744 Speaker 1 true for you, but your thing is gonna look like your thing. I have a s-strong

00:19:35.504 Speaker 1 suspicion that your own sort of personal journey here towards some transcendence is

00:19:40.524 Speaker 1 going to look unique and personal. This is all incredibly personal. It

00:19:46.524 Speaker 1 is remarkably personal. Uh, so I think it will be beautiful

00:19:52.464 Speaker 1 and wonderful and exciting and sometimes weird in exactly the ways you

00:19:58.524 Speaker 1 need, in an uncanny way. And the more you play along, and the more you take it

00:20:03.524 Speaker 1 seriously, the more the universe itself seems to play along and take your attempt

00:20:08.364 Speaker 1 seriously back. You can think of this all as like a challenge or a series of tests

00:20:12.464 Speaker 1 and a series of lessons. I recommend holding on to these, like, general ideas. If

00:20:17.424 Speaker 1 you can hold-- If you can adopt these beliefs, it will help you. Everything means

00:20:21.524 Speaker 1 something. There are no small moments and small things. Begin to see meaning in

00:20:26.104 Speaker 1 every single thing that happens, small or large. Why did that happen? Begin asking

00:20:29.824 Speaker 1 those questions. Why did that happen? How is that for me? What is that teaching me?

00:20:34.424 Speaker 1 What is the lesson in this? And the more you can apply that, and the more you can

00:20:37.904 Speaker 1 expect to see magic in the world, right? Whatever magic means to you. Many people

00:20:42.684 Speaker 1 would call... I'm mostly talking about synchronicity, which are meaningful

00:20:48.004 Speaker 1 coincidences. That is, "Wow, what are the chances that this thing happened?" You

00:20:51.984 Speaker 1 know? "Oh, you were just talking about this thing, and wow, look, it just happened."

00:20:55.724 Speaker 1 When you see those moments, encourage them and decide what they mean to you. Is this

00:21:00.884 Speaker 1 magical? Was that for me? Does-- Is that saying something about my life in a small

00:21:05.604 Speaker 1 or big way, uh, that is relevant to me right now or will be soon? Is it just fun?

00:21:11.804 Speaker 1 And when you see them, notice them, acknowledge them. Feel free to say thank you,

00:21:16.684 Speaker 1 and take it seriously. And you decide what it means to you. You can't be wrong.

00:21:22.644 Speaker 1 So when you notice those moments of magic in the world, and you expect to see it

00:21:27.464 Speaker 1 everywhere you go, everything means something. You're training your own mind to look

00:21:31.904 Speaker 1 for it. But also, I think that there is definitely a reciprocating effect and that

00:21:37.384 Speaker 1 the world around you, your reality, begins to play back with you like a game of

00:21:42.784 Speaker 1 tennis back and forth. You're playing now. And, um, it's fun. [chuckles]

00:21:48.764 Speaker 1 And it's also helping you figure out what to do and what's important, and it really

00:21:53.044 Speaker 1 gives you confidence that it's working.

00:21:56.124 Speaker 1 All right, so what are the rough stages of spiritual development towards

00:22:00.604 Speaker 1 transcendence as I understand it from where I, where I am? What does it feel like?

00:22:05.484 Speaker 1 What are the effects? How do you know roughly where you might be on it? Everyone's

00:22:09.504 Speaker 1 gonna be different, and it's not like it's one thing. It's not a single scale. I'm

00:22:12.904 Speaker 1 reducing it to one scale here, but it's not that. It's like a thousand different

00:22:18.304 Speaker 1 skills and personal problems, and they all contribute, right? So we're measuring an

00:22:23.024 Speaker 1 overall level, but in reality, you're probably really good at some things already

00:22:27.484 Speaker 1 and probably pretty deficient at others. And you don't have to be perfect. This is a

00:22:31.944 Speaker 1 game of iterative improvement. And, um, another excellent lesson before I give you

00:22:36.844 Speaker 1 the scale is that

00:22:40.724 Speaker 1 the problem you-you're dealing with in life is always the right problem for you

00:22:44.504 Speaker 1 right now. It's trying to teach you something, and that's why you're dealing with

00:22:47.864 Speaker 1 it. It's a very useful mindset. Why am I struggling with this right now? Instead of

00:22:51.744 Speaker 1 saying it sucks or I have to fix it in a normal way, stop and ask yourself, "Why is

00:22:56.004 Speaker 1 this happening to me? What is this trying to teach me?" And assume that, no, this is

00:23:00.324 Speaker 1 the right thing for me right now. I'm here for a reason. I-- My job is to figure out

00:23:05.184 Speaker 1 why, to learn the lesson so that I can move on to the next one. Take that viewpoint

00:23:10.204 Speaker 1 as well. So here's the rough progression. So at the bottom of the scale,

00:23:16.684 Speaker 1 you've got yourself now roughly, wherever you wanna put yourself on the scale, I

00:23:19.744 Speaker 1 guess, um, is that you begin to feel better, have more self-control, and become more

00:23:25.744 Speaker 1 self-aware. Your internal state, how your behavior affects others. You feel better.

00:23:31.304 Speaker 1 I'm happier. Things don't bother me as much. I'm less reactive, and I'm, I notice

00:23:36.024 Speaker 1 myself more, and I see myself more clearly. I don't get caught up in my own dramas

00:23:41.024 Speaker 1 as much. That's how-- That's-- You're on the scale. [chuckles] Congrats. Like, uh,

00:23:46.484 Speaker 1 there is a level of self-confidence that happens. So as I mentioned before, personal

00:23:51.484 Speaker 1 development and spiritual development as it relates to having all sorts of wild

00:23:56.424 Speaker 1 encounters and effects and communication and insights and experiences, those come as

00:24:01.744 Speaker 1 the flip side of the coin of personal development. It's so weird, but that's, that's

00:24:06.424 Speaker 1 how it works. So by improving yourself, you can talk to

00:24:12.384 Speaker 1 people with your mind and see without your eyeballs and [chuckles] move stuff. Um,

00:24:17.684 Speaker 1 and you can know things before you should know them, all sorts of stuff. Uh, your

00:24:22.084 Speaker 1 intuition tells you stuff about people. Or about situations that you didn't expect.

00:24:26.292 Speaker 1 You have dreams that are teaching you lessons. All these things start happening, and

00:24:29.832 Speaker 1 it comes from improving yourself. So as you're moving up this scale, you will tend

00:24:35.572 Speaker 1 to care more and feel more and notice more

00:24:41.652 Speaker 1 as you go up. Higher you go up, I'm-- I care more. I feel more of, of everything,

00:24:47.592 Speaker 1 by the way, not just good emotions, air quotes, "good emotions," but everything. Uh,

00:24:53.492 Speaker 1 you can be brought to tears by staring at a bowl on a desk. You can also be brought

00:24:58.332 Speaker 1 to tears, um, with sadness as you see somebody who is struggling, uh, or in pain,

00:25:05.032 Speaker 1 and you're gonna feel that too. Your empathy is gonna go way up. So just remember,

00:25:08.732 Speaker 1 your aperture for feeling is gonna go wider as well.

00:25:13.332 Speaker 1 So you gotta be able to handle that. You're gonna be more sensitive overall, and

00:25:16.292 Speaker 1 you're gonna notice more things. Your awareness is going to increase. And as that

00:25:21.132 Speaker 1 happens, you're also going to care more and more in wider circles. So you can think

00:25:26.052 Speaker 1 of it as concentric circles. So you s- yourself, this is why you have to s-- you

00:25:29.452 Speaker 1 need to start this from a point of self-actualization. You know, I know who I am,

00:25:33.012 Speaker 1 generally speaking. I feel self-confident. I feel healthy. You can be unfulfilled.

00:25:38.612 Speaker 1 You can feel like, "Man, I'm not doing what I want. I feel like I have something I

00:25:41.732 Speaker 1 could be doing. There's more. My life is good on paper. I'm pretty happy, or at

00:25:46.192 Speaker 1 least generally I am."

00:25:49.172 Speaker 1 That's a good starting point. And if you're not there, then there's tons of

00:25:52.172 Speaker 1 self-development help, meditating and all that stuff. Well, trusting your intuition,

00:25:55.392 Speaker 1 that still applies. Um,

00:25:59.252 Speaker 1 but anyway, you care about yourself, and you will care more about yourself, and then

00:26:02.312 Speaker 1 you'll care about your friends, your family, your community. Uh, you care about

00:26:07.212 Speaker 1 things beyond yourself as you go up this scale, and you care more and more deeply as

00:26:11.132 Speaker 1 well. So it's like you care more widely, but you also care more deeply. And that

00:26:15.412 Speaker 1 goes for feeling and noticing as well. You become aware of things in a way you

00:26:19.072 Speaker 1 weren't before.

00:26:21.152 Speaker 1 Now, that awareness keeps going, and eventually you start to experience, and

00:26:25.012 Speaker 1 everyone ha- has experienced these things, even if you don't realize it. But your

00:26:29.912 Speaker 1 average level of awareness goes up, and you start to gain extra sensory perceptions.

00:26:35.592 Speaker 1 Again, often through de- dreams or when you're waking up or going to sleep, those

00:26:39.012 Speaker 1 are the most common times. But now that you're meditating, you're gonna start having

00:26:42.572 Speaker 1 this happen deep in meditation. You're just gonna have a, an insight on, "Oh, I know

00:26:46.752 Speaker 1 how to solve my problem." Like, you didn't even try. It just [snaps finger] comes to

00:26:51.512 Speaker 1 you. Or you will hear a thing, or you will feel a thing, and you don't know why.

00:26:58.012 Speaker 1 Or you will have an idea, and then later someone will talk to you about that exact

00:27:01.952 Speaker 1 idea, and you'll be like, "What the hell just happened? [chuckles] I was thinking

00:27:06.572 Speaker 1 about that this morning, and now you're talking to me about it," because somehow you

00:27:10.292 Speaker 1 knew before it would happen. Precognition. All those things are gonna start

00:27:14.352 Speaker 1 happening, and they're gonna happen spontaneously at first. You will not be able to

00:27:18.032 Speaker 1 control it. And then if you practice with those skills specifically, you may bring

00:27:23.572 Speaker 1 them under your control. Um, but they're gonna start happening spontaneously.

00:27:28.672 Speaker 1 And then all sorts of-- Then you're gonna get to a stage of non-physical

00:27:32.772 Speaker 1 communication. Your awareness will get to a point where somebody is gonna knock on

00:27:37.712 Speaker 1 your door. Um, so be prepared for that. [chuckles] It will almost

00:27:43.632 Speaker 1 certainly be kind. Um, but when you increase your aperture, you're bringing

00:27:49.672 Speaker 1 in more of whatever you're putting out there, right? So if you have a lot of fears

00:27:53.852 Speaker 1 or insecurities, you may attract those kinds of interactions. And if you've watched

00:27:59.192 Speaker 1 the other videos then or listened to them, you have some idea of what to do about

00:28:02.832 Speaker 1 that. You have control over this. But just know that you're bringing your fears and

00:28:06.052 Speaker 1 insecurities with you, and to a degree, you are inviting those side-- kinds of

00:28:10.612 Speaker 1 interactions. So if you're incredibly fearful or you have very strong religious

00:28:15.392 Speaker 1 views that paint a world in which you are very likely to be attacked or you're doing

00:28:19.432 Speaker 1 something wrong, you can expect some of these interactions to not be pleasant. Uh,

00:28:24.852 Speaker 1 so you know, people are people, and creatures are creatures the world over. Just

00:28:30.652 Speaker 1 assume 'cause [chuckles] they're not physical doesn't mean that there's not the

00:28:34.412 Speaker 1 whole gamut. Uh, so but never forget that it's your own mind, your own reality. And

00:28:39.132 Speaker 1 especially for non-physical things, you really just have to have a strength of self

00:28:44.672 Speaker 1 and to know, uh, "You can't actually hurt me," and you'll, you'll be fine. And then

00:28:50.392 Speaker 1 eventually you begin to learn truths directly about the universe and the world.

00:28:55.132 Speaker 1 Like, they, they just happen to you. You just know. You just... I know something

00:29:00.472 Speaker 1 profound about how the, how reality works. Or you start to get the answers to those

00:29:04.712 Speaker 1 big questions you started out with. You just know them one day. It just hits you or

00:29:08.212 Speaker 1 you experience it directly. And you know in a way that is not like, "I'm pretty sure

00:29:11.712 Speaker 1 I know how this works." You're like, "I just understand on a fundamental level how

00:29:17.572 Speaker 1 this works. I have a feeling I understand it." And then you do. It's pretty weird,

00:29:22.912 Speaker 1 and it's pretty cool. Uh, so that's generally how it works. Um, but that sort of

00:29:28.792 Speaker 1 ignores what it's like along the way and all the things that you could do. So that's

00:29:33.972 Speaker 1 what it looks like to move along this sliding scale. All sorts of things will happen

00:29:38.092 Speaker 1 to you. You may have out-of-body experiences. In general, intention will make these

00:29:43.192 Speaker 1 things happen. You want them to happen, they are more likely to happen, but they can

00:29:46.932 Speaker 1 happen sporadically too. You may have vivid and lucid dreams, uh, where you're

00:29:51.072 Speaker 1 interacting with people or, or something like people, uh, and

00:29:57.412 Speaker 1 all sorts of things can happen. Uh, so I couldn't tell you, but [chuckles] that's

00:30:02.572 Speaker 1 the general idea. Uh, so growth along this spectrum tends to happen in,

00:30:08.572 Speaker 1 like, waves, right? You may have periods where you have an enormous amount of things

00:30:13.012 Speaker 1 happen to you all at once, and then nothing will happen for a while. So as long as

00:30:18.052 Speaker 1 you're doing all that stuff, you're seeking, you're treating the problem of the day

00:30:22.632 Speaker 1 as, "No, this is, like, serious. I'm struggling. Uh, this is happening to me for a

00:30:26.132 Speaker 1 reason," and you are serious about trying to figure it out. No problem is too small.

00:30:29.452 Speaker 1 Why are you annoyed waiting in line? You tell me. [chuckles] Treat that as a serious

00:30:34.740 Speaker 1 problem. There are no small moments. Everything means something. There's a lesson

00:30:37.760 Speaker 1 here. If you're playing that mini-game all the time, then you're going to start

00:30:42.420 Speaker 1 experiencing things you did not expect. Um, UFOs, someone will talk to you that

00:30:48.100 Speaker 1 isn't there. [chuckles] You have a profound feeling, uh, that something is going to

00:30:52.820 Speaker 1 happen. The anomalous events are going to happen, and they are going to create

00:30:58.560 Speaker 1 basically a break in your worldview where you go, "Holy crap, this is actually

00:31:03.639 Speaker 1 happening. This is real. It's working." [chuckles] "I am aware of things that I did

00:31:08.700 Speaker 1 not know existed, experiences I did not know I could have. I'm pretty sure that

00:31:14.960 Speaker 1 this is happening right now." And when those happen, you have to process it. They

00:31:20.600 Speaker 1 can either happen in a way that is-- you can tolerate. It's within your change

00:31:24.640 Speaker 1 tolerance, even if it's difficult. And I promise you, it can be hard. Some people

00:31:29.740 Speaker 1 will be harder than others. Um, but you have to be able to process that. Uh, so

00:31:35.700 Speaker 1 some things not to do when anomalous events occur to you. Uh, flee, fight,

00:31:41.460 Speaker 1 denial, distraction, downplay it, or go catatonic. Now, I'm not judging

00:31:47.400 Speaker 1 anybody. If you need psychological, like, [chuckles] defense, and it's okay to,

00:31:52.500 Speaker 1 like, run away or shut something down 'cause you can't handle it anymore. That's

00:31:56.720 Speaker 1 fine. But these things will not, like, advance you in the sense, like, if you always

00:32:01.840 Speaker 1 have that reaction, it's going to stop happening. You're shutting it down, closing

00:32:05.600 Speaker 1 that aperture, and it's not gonna happen anymore.

00:32:09.620 Speaker 1 So you want to ask questions like, "What happened? What is it showing me?" You need

00:32:15.580 Speaker 1 to decide what it means. You, remember, you decide what it means. It's up to you to

00:32:20.220 Speaker 1 decide what it means. Uh, don't let anyone else tell you what it means. This is a

00:32:25.780 Speaker 1 first-hand exploration. Remember, this isn't about reading books. This isn't about

00:32:29.280 Speaker 1 watching YouTube videos. I mean, this one aside, I guess, but this is just

00:32:33.420 Speaker 1 principles. I'm not telling you what any of it is. I'm not telling you who these

00:32:36.940 Speaker 1 alien races are. I'm not gonna tell you who built the pyramids. I'm not gonna tell

00:32:40.539 Speaker 1 you that there's secret cults. I'm not gonna tell you that magic, this is how it

00:32:44.480 Speaker 1 works. I don't care. You go figure it out. I'm giving you the principles. You do it

00:32:49.160 Speaker 1 yourself. You decide what it means. Don't abdicate that to anyone else. You can use

00:32:53.540 Speaker 1 other people's information as a shorthand if you want, but in general, I'd say that

00:32:57.740 Speaker 1 is usually noise. Go find out yourself. You don't need anyone else's permission. You

00:33:01.500 Speaker 1 have everything you need already to do this. There's no real reason to ask other

00:33:05.280 Speaker 1 people other than support. Support is great. Talk to other people who are doing

00:33:10.880 Speaker 1 something similar, these other kinds of inner explorations.

00:33:16.500 Speaker 1 Now, after you decide what it means, you need to update your beliefs and your world

00:33:19.820 Speaker 1 models to try to incorporate this. Okay, this is real, so you don't just project it.

00:33:23.780 Speaker 1 Like, okay, something is explaining this. I may not know what, but this happened for

00:33:29.580 Speaker 1 some reason, and can I fit this into my worldview?

00:33:33.760 Speaker 1 And then you start to act from these new models. So if you get a strong

00:33:39.480 Speaker 1 feeling that, again, uh, I think I used this example before, that your, your

00:33:44.340 Speaker 1 deceased grandmother is trying to give you a message to do something, and you

00:33:48.960 Speaker 1 updated your belief, you processed that. Okay, I'm not panicking too much. I got it

00:33:52.640 Speaker 1 together. [chuckles] Okay, this is possible. I've updated my beliefs a little bit.

00:33:57.440 Speaker 1 Now you act like it's true. You have to act like it's true. Even if you're not

00:34:01.240 Speaker 1 perfect, you have to act like it's true, 'cause if you don't want it, you're gonna

00:34:04.760 Speaker 1 shut it down, and it won't happen anymore. So you need to act it out. That means you

00:34:08.540 Speaker 1 don't ignore [chuckles] your grandma, uh, or whomever, right? Whatever is happening,

00:34:14.240 Speaker 1 whatever you're trying to do, whether you're trying to move a piece of foil,

00:34:17.120 Speaker 1 aluminum foil with your mind or see without your eyes, whatever you're trying to do

00:34:21.460 Speaker 1 or hear or feel or understand, when it actually starts to happen, you have to

00:34:27.840 Speaker 1 integrate it, process it, and then start acting it out in the real world.

00:34:34.240 Speaker 1 So start acting like it's true. And if you're in a safe space or you have a support

00:34:39.020 Speaker 1 group, talk it out. Tell them what happened. Bottling this stuff up, not good.

00:34:44.260 Speaker 1 [chuckles] Everybody needs somebody. Um, and this is difficult. Um, it can be

00:34:49.080 Speaker 1 difficult, and it can be isolating, and it could be ostracizing because it's still

00:34:52.619 Speaker 1 not normal. Uh, it's not normal to try to understand yourself by yourself using the

00:34:58.200 Speaker 1 tools that have been given to you from your very birth or before your birth. You

00:35:02.980 Speaker 1 have everything you need. You don't have to ask permission, but that doesn't mean

00:35:05.680 Speaker 1 that it can't be isolating and, you know, lonely or disturbing to do these

00:35:11.660 Speaker 1 things on your own and feel like you can't talk to anyone about it. That's not good.

00:35:15.720 Speaker 1 You need to, you need to be able to get this out with- in a safe space, so try to

00:35:19.960 Speaker 1 find people who, who are happy to share this kind of thing with you. That's what

00:35:24.960 Speaker 1 you're gonna do. Now, that's if it went well and it's within your change tolerance.

00:35:29.320 Speaker 1 Now, if you have a close encounter experience or you have a difficult [chuckles]

00:35:35.280 Speaker 1 dream or non-dreamlike experience or something happens to you that you're not ready

00:35:39.880 Speaker 1 for, you thought you were, and then you're like, "Oh, no, I am [chuckles] not

00:35:45.640 Speaker 1 prepared for this," and you can feel yourself going into shock and shutting down.

00:35:49.780 Speaker 1 You know, obviously, once all this event is over, you have, I've dubbed the term,

00:35:55.460 Speaker 1 been shattered, basically. I've been shattered a number of times, and it is...

00:36:01.360 Speaker 1 There's a reason I suggested that you be able to handle your shit, because it's one

00:36:06.180 Speaker 1 thing to say, "Oh, this is cool. Look at these photographs," or, "Look at these

00:36:09.600 Speaker 1 ideas." But when you see a ghost or whatever, a UFO or whatever, it actually happens

00:36:14.640 Speaker 1 to you because you've been trying to. Or when you see somebody do some healing or

00:36:19.640 Speaker 1 something, and you thought you were ready for it in an intellectual way, and then

00:36:23.260 Speaker 1 you see it, and you start to shut down and go, "Oh, no, that did not just happen."

00:36:28.500 Speaker 1 Your worldview has been shattered beyond your change, your ability to process and

00:36:33.320 Speaker 1 handle change. It's not, like, ideal [chuckles] for this to happen too much, but it

00:36:38.428 Speaker 1 probably is going to happen to you some if you're serious about this. And you need

00:36:42.588 Speaker 1 to be able to handle processing trauma, and that means I recommend go looking,

00:36:47.988 Speaker 1 looking up how to process trauma. Uh, but the general idea is that how you

00:36:53.988 Speaker 1 encode the memory matters. So when you... If you encode this as something negative

00:36:58.508 Speaker 1 or, like, "This was, uh, this was a demon," or, "I've done something awful," or,

00:37:02.488 Speaker 1 "That happened because I'm terrible," or, "I don't know what I'm doing, I'm in

00:37:05.368 Speaker 1 danger," you're encoding that as something out of your control, and it's a traumatic

00:37:10.348 Speaker 1 memory. But if you can find a way that this was for you, that it was positive, that

00:37:14.768 Speaker 1 it meant something good even if it was confusing or disturbing,

00:37:19.388 Speaker 1 you need to find a way to process that trauma in a way that it doesn't build up and

00:37:23.308 Speaker 1 prevent you from keep, from going. I mean, there's no shame in calling it quits if

00:37:28.488 Speaker 1 you c- [chuckles] if it's making your life worse. Like, that's not the point. Uh,

00:37:32.268 Speaker 1 don't be that reckless. But at the same time, you need to be able to handle

00:37:36.268 Speaker 1 traumatic events and know how to get through it all, with therapy, with friends,

00:37:40.988 Speaker 1 like, because it's going to affect you. Generally in a beautiful way,

00:37:46.888 Speaker 1 right? It's, it's cool. Like, you, you, you go to sleep and then, oh, wow, your

00:37:51.028 Speaker 1 grandma is, like, she's there. She's talking to you, and you're like... That can

00:37:54.608 Speaker 1 either be something that shook your entire world and you shut down, and you don't

00:37:58.248 Speaker 1 want this anymore, or it can, once you get through how difficult it's been and you

00:38:02.828 Speaker 1 can reflect on it and process it a little bit, you can realize it's something

00:38:06.748 Speaker 1 beautiful and awesome and exactly what you always wanted. How you handle it is what

00:38:11.128 Speaker 1 matters. Um, I will say these kinds of traumatic experiences, pain,

00:38:17.568 Speaker 1 change beyond your tolerance, um, and actually completely processing the events as

00:38:22.188 Speaker 1 they happen. Don't just blow through them or play th- downplay them and, like, move

00:38:25.988 Speaker 1 on to the next thing. You really need to sit with this. You have to do a lot of

00:38:29.968 Speaker 1 thinking. Like, at some point you're like, "Oh, crap. The aliens are real, man."

00:38:35.408 Speaker 1 [chuckles] Or whatever people call them, or spirits, whatever your thing is. I'm not

00:38:38.648 Speaker 1 here to tell you what's true. Ghosts or, like, I guess s- this is actually

00:38:42.948 Speaker 1 happening.

00:38:44.907 Speaker 1 The amount of times you're gonna have to sit down and say those exact words, "Oh,

00:38:48.728 Speaker 1 this is actually happening to me." And you're gonna have to sit with that for a

00:38:52.068 Speaker 1 while and figure out what it means for you, and it's not always easy. But you need

00:38:57.708 Speaker 1 to, like, completely, like, digest that. You need to completely work through it. You

00:39:02.188 Speaker 1 carry that through, the magic stops. Or worse, it doesn't stop, and now you're

00:39:07.168 Speaker 1 building up traumatic experiences, and that's, that's no bueno. That's not gonna end

00:39:12.388 Speaker 1 well. Um, so, but in general, at least in my experience, the magic stops. The

00:39:17.808 Speaker 1 universe, your spirit guides, your, your deity, whatever, it stops the

00:39:23.628 Speaker 1 gravy train of cool and weird things happening to you because you're not ready. If

00:39:29.208 Speaker 1 you're not ready, it's just pain. It's just hurting you. You haven't healed. You

00:39:33.108 Speaker 1 haven't recovered. It's like doing a workout where you injure your arm and, like,

00:39:35.968 Speaker 1 you go back the next day and it's like, "Come, give me more." Like, no. [chuckles]

00:39:39.608 Speaker 1 You can't, you're not done with the last one yet. You hurt yourself, man. Or, like,

00:39:43.268 Speaker 1 you just need to rest. Like, it takes time. Irony of me saying it takes time.

00:39:49.328 Speaker 1 I was very impatient. Uh, I, I regret very little, but I learned these things

00:39:54.148 Speaker 1 because of my impatience, so I guess that's to your benefit.

00:40:00.368 Speaker 1 Okay, so other things that do not work. Detachment from your human life and

00:40:05.628 Speaker 1 responsibility. Cool. At some point you're like, "Pssh. You know, this is all a

00:40:11.188 Speaker 1 construct. I can control it all with my awareness," or, "Why do I... I don't need

00:40:14.648 Speaker 1 to..." [chuckles] Whatever your thing is. I don't know what your thing is. But you

00:40:17.428 Speaker 1 bec- you, you could become disillusioned from your own regular life. "Why do I have

00:40:21.748 Speaker 1 to take the garbage out?" [chuckles] It's... "I have had some deep insight and it

00:40:27.068 Speaker 1 feels so pointless. Like, what does it matter?" Don't do that. It's gonna happen,

00:40:31.588 Speaker 1 and that's okay. Don't judge yourself for it. But if you disconnect from your life,

00:40:36.008 Speaker 1 from your friends, from your responsibilities, the magic stops. Or worse, it

00:40:40.848 Speaker 1 doesn't, and things get worse. But in general, it does seem to. If you are acting

00:40:45.028 Speaker 1 with inauthenticity,

00:40:47.828 Speaker 1 uh, or acting from a place of victimhood, it stops. No victims. It's

00:40:53.588 Speaker 1 okay to feel like a victim for a while. It's okay to go down, but you don't stay

00:40:56.748 Speaker 1 down. So if you stay in those places, you're faking it. Not in a fake it and you

00:41:01.968 Speaker 1 make it, like I'm living into something, but like I'm acting like not myself, and I

00:41:06.628 Speaker 1 don't like it. If you're not acting authentically in your life, doesn't work. This

00:41:12.308 Speaker 1 is, remember, personal development. That's all we're really talking about is

00:41:15.328 Speaker 1 personal development, and you just keep going off into the stratosphere. [chuckles]

00:41:18.608 Speaker 1 It's escape velocity. You keep developing that person so hard that apparently you

00:41:23.208 Speaker 1 can leave your body, talk to aliens, and see ghosts. I don't know, man. I don't make

00:41:28.428 Speaker 1 the rules. It just happens. Um, [chuckles] okay. Failure to retain or live out

00:41:33.968 Speaker 1 previous lessons. When you learn those lessons throughout life, "Why is this

00:41:37.748 Speaker 1 happening to me right now? Well, because I judge myself, uh, super harshly,

00:41:42.408 Speaker 1 especially when I fail or I feel rejected." Great. If you manage to work through

00:41:47.068 Speaker 1 that behemoth of a problem that you've had, and then two months from now you re- di-

00:41:52.388 Speaker 1 you regress and you go from, you know, being able to see without eyes

00:41:58.368 Speaker 1 really well or whatever your thing is, or you just, you feel like you've regressed

00:42:03.368 Speaker 1 spiritually or nothing's happening anymore, you need to reexamine whether you have

00:42:08.048 Speaker 1 actually continually applied the things you've already learned. If you're not doing

00:42:11.248 Speaker 1 what you already know to be true, at least on a general basis, you can't just learn

00:42:16.208 Speaker 1 it once and then forget about it. You need to keep applying those lessons. Uh, they,

00:42:21.368 Speaker 1 this all accumulates. It's stacking up. So if you stop taking care of yourself,

00:42:26.488 Speaker 1 [chuckles] if you stop doing the basics or w- you're repeating mistakes that you've

00:42:31.288 Speaker 1 done in the past over and over again, you're not gonna progress. In fact, it

00:42:35.108 Speaker 1 literally all stops.

00:42:38.076 Speaker 1 Um, cool. Uh, so in the general path of progress from where you are

00:42:43.936 Speaker 1 now to whatever you're trying to accomplish next or answer some big question or just

00:42:47.956 Speaker 1 a general spiritual development

00:42:51.216 Speaker 1 is a process of acting from irrational belief. So you are reaching out, acting

00:42:55.716 Speaker 1 beyond what your existing models of the world can predict. So if you come from a

00:43:00.376 Speaker 1 materialist worldview, everything is atoms and physics, um, then it's going to be

00:43:05.896 Speaker 1 hard for you to experience non-physical energy or chakras or whatever you're trying

00:43:11.036 Speaker 1 to do. So you need to be able to believe something. Like I said, you need to be able

00:43:15.776 Speaker 1 to believe a stupid i... You need to be able to sit with a stupid idea long enough

00:43:19.456 Speaker 1 to see if it's true. So you're holding it in this space where I believe it can be

00:43:22.516 Speaker 1 true. I believe it can be true. [chuckles] It can be that little engine that could

00:43:25.816 Speaker 1 until it does, and that could be longer than you think.

00:43:31.396 Speaker 1 All right. Uh, what else did I not cover? Oh man, there's a lot I'm not covering.

00:43:35.656 Speaker 1 Sheesh.

00:43:37.916 Speaker 1 This stuff is complicated, but it's also not [chuckles] that complicated. There's a

00:43:43.236 Speaker 1 general idea that you will be helped, especially there is somebody for everybody,

00:43:47.836 Speaker 1 and they are trying to help you. And if you sincerely embark on this, there are

00:43:52.376 Speaker 1 people who are putting lessons in front of you, just like I've described my own

00:43:55.476 Speaker 1 stories, like a curriculum. They're always trying to push in front of you what you

00:43:59.556 Speaker 1 need now. What you might need now is to not yell at your kids. Like, that's okay. Or

00:44:04.416 Speaker 1 it might be like, it's almost always a problem within yourself. It's some

00:44:08.396 Speaker 1 insecurity. It's something you haven't faced. So if you don't wanna face, you know,

00:44:12.956 Speaker 1 your daddy issues or you don't wanna face your insecurities about your appearance or

00:44:17.976 Speaker 1 whatever, [chuckles] I got bad news for you because this whole thing is a machine

00:44:22.696 Speaker 1 designed to make you face every single one of your dark parts or things you don't

00:44:27.476 Speaker 1 like about yourself or the world or your ignorance. It is literally just a mirror or

00:44:32.976 Speaker 1 a flashlight. It's... You're seeing yourself, and you are shining a light on the

00:44:37.376 Speaker 1 portions of yourself that you probably least want to look at. So if you don't,

00:44:41.716 Speaker 1 [chuckles] you don't get magic powers unless you're willing to face your childhood

00:44:46.096 Speaker 1 traumas. And that's just how it is. Or your relationship issues, [chuckles] or

00:44:52.136 Speaker 1 your issues with yourself because they are what is preventing you from getting to

00:44:57.336 Speaker 1 that moment, as strange as that sounds. So those are called distortions, and they

00:45:02.456 Speaker 1 are just things that are in the way. They're illusions. They are things that you

00:45:06.816 Speaker 1 think are true that are limiting you, and they're hurting you, and they're making

00:45:10.496 Speaker 1 your life worse. Uh, so you're gonna have... This is literally just a process of

00:45:14.516 Speaker 1 improving yourself. Um, so if you think you don't have to face something or there's

00:45:18.616 Speaker 1 one fear you won't have to get through, that doesn't mean that you have to solve

00:45:22.156 Speaker 1 everything. But in general, you should expect each of these lessons and even the

00:45:27.536 Speaker 1 anomalous experiences to be shaped by, and you should know why by now, your own

00:45:32.196 Speaker 1 fears, insecurities, and limiting beliefs. That's really the work you're doing on

00:45:38.216 Speaker 1 because, again, it's all you. If your reality is all you, the only thing preventing

00:45:42.576 Speaker 1 you [chuckles] from being aware of and controlling your reality is yourself, and

00:45:46.516 Speaker 1 these are the things that are in your way, is these distortions. It's personal

00:45:49.696 Speaker 1 problems, [chuckles] large- largely speaking anyway. Uh, not entirely, but largely.

00:45:55.816 Speaker 1 Um, there is a level of just, like, work, uh, that has to happen and increased

00:46:00.236 Speaker 1 awareness. There are skills that happen. I'm not gonna need to teach you what they

00:46:03.776 Speaker 1 are because your own intuition, your own guides or deity or higher power, higher

00:46:08.736 Speaker 1 self, doesn't matter. They're always pushing the lesson you need in front of you. So

00:46:12.716 Speaker 1 treat life like that.

00:46:15.396 Speaker 1 Um, some things to be aware of. Um, frustration, uh, confusion, and absurdity

00:46:21.436 Speaker 1 are fundamental properties of these experiences, and you have to exert effort to

00:46:26.876 Speaker 1 overcome them. And the reason that th- this is this way is because it improves the

00:46:31.896 Speaker 1 potential. So if you see something and it's a little insane, I don't know, see s-

00:46:37.776 Speaker 1 like Bigfoot or something, and it's like... Some of this stuff is deliberately dumb.

00:46:42.796 Speaker 1 It doesn't make sense. Like, it almost precisely doesn't make sense. It's almost

00:46:48.236 Speaker 1 precisely calibrated to happen in a way that it's just outside or maybe way outside

00:46:52.756 Speaker 1 what you believed was possible, in a way that you definitely didn't believe, or it

00:46:58.276 Speaker 1 triggers your own insecurities or is related to your own fears. It is the exact

00:47:03.396 Speaker 1 thing [chuckles] you didn't want to see or experience. Uh, but not necessarily in a

00:47:08.076 Speaker 1 scary way, or there will be properties about it that don't make sense that bother

00:47:11.436 Speaker 1 you. So it's frustrating or it's confusing. And the reason it is that way is because

00:47:17.336 Speaker 1 you're being shaken. Like, "Hey, pay attention. You can't ignore this." That's the

00:47:21.836 Speaker 1 idea. The whole thing is designed to be something you can't ignore, so you'll take

00:47:27.136 Speaker 1 it seriously. So just know that that will happen, and these are common properties of

00:47:32.176 Speaker 1 any of these experiences, is it's either dumb, it doesn't make sense, like in a way

00:47:36.976 Speaker 1 that is like, this is impossible, but also silly. Like, [chuckles] there's no wa...

00:47:41.956 Speaker 1 I went to sleep the other night, and as I was trying to fall asleep or taking a nap,

00:47:46.296 Speaker 1 I heard like a baby whining. Just l- just one sound effect, and I'm like, "What is

00:47:50.156 Speaker 1 this?" This has no relevance in my life, and nothing baby-related has happened since

00:47:54.896 Speaker 1 then. It's like, why? [chuckles] Just because. I don't know. Who knows?

00:48:00.776 Speaker 1 Because it could. It's almost like a, "Eh, bet you didn't think this could happen."

00:48:04.996 Speaker 1 Um, the reason that happens is it sticks in your mind. It keeps you going. It keeps

00:48:09.136 Speaker 1 you questioning, like, "That wasn't possible, right?" That is a fundamental property

00:48:13.656 Speaker 1 of these experiences. Don't be surprised by that. You should be expecting it.

00:48:20.356 Speaker 1 Anything else to cover?

00:48:26.136 Speaker 1 I think, again, support, super important. Um,

00:48:32.056 Speaker 1 intention is just directed, purposeful energy with attention. Um-

00:48:38.940 Speaker 1 You can, that's more or less deciding what's going to happen for you, what, what

00:48:43.060 Speaker 1 direction your growth is going. Um, so just set an intention and take that

00:48:46.880 Speaker 1 seriously. Um, that is your way to write to the universe. Think of it as putting out

00:48:50.840 Speaker 1 your request to your, your deity, your guides, or your higher self or whatever, um,

00:48:56.300 Speaker 1 to your soul, to, "I want these lessons. I want these experiences," and mean it, and

00:49:01.160 Speaker 1 live it, and act accordingly, and they will start to happen. And if they don't start

00:49:05.420 Speaker 1 to happen, you need to examine why the thing happening in front of you is the right

00:49:09.460 Speaker 1 lesson for you now. It is never the wrong thing.

00:49:13.320 Speaker 1 Um, so of course, believing this is possible. And just remember, this is just

00:49:16.900 Speaker 1 self-development. Weird and amazing and wonderful things just start happening.

00:49:21.580 Speaker 1 [chuckles] It's just a side effect. It seems like a side effect, but it's not. It's

00:49:24.600 Speaker 1 increased awareness, and a lot of the time it will seem like nothing is happening,

00:49:29.240 Speaker 1 and sometimes it's like, bam, okay, I guess I have improved or something has. My

00:49:34.060 Speaker 1 awareness has definitely increased because this is happening to me right now, and

00:49:38.340 Speaker 1 it's not always obvious. Uh, it can feel like nothing is happening for a long time,

00:49:44.940 Speaker 1 far longer than you expected possible, even though you're doing everything right.

00:49:48.900 Speaker 1 Uh, that can happen too. I will say this is generally easier in groups, so if you

00:49:53.860 Speaker 1 have people who are doing the same thing, especially if they're physically

00:49:56.220 Speaker 1 co-located, go to events like this. Go do various psi training for like mindsight

00:50:01.840 Speaker 1 and telekinesis and other stuff. You put these people all in the same room who are

00:50:05.920 Speaker 1 all doing the same thing, it really encourages you. Um, I recommend anything that

00:50:11.840 Speaker 1 is free from dogma, uh, no culty stuff. You don't need that. This is you. All you

00:50:17.780 Speaker 1 need are the tools available to you already. You just need yourself. You have

00:50:20.620 Speaker 1 everything you need. But having support and being around people who are doing the

00:50:23.720 Speaker 1 other thing, it's almost like when you go together, it's much faster. It's not only

00:50:29.160 Speaker 1 faster, but it's easier to believe. There is an exponential multiplier the more

00:50:34.200 Speaker 1 people you know. Um, and so the final thing I'll also say is just like taking very

00:50:39.760 Speaker 1 seriously how you allow things to influence in your life. You're going to need to

00:50:43.780 Speaker 1 roll back. I can tell you right now, your information diet needs to be almost zero.

00:50:48.559 Speaker 1 I don't listen to podcasts basically ever. I don't read the news. I know nothing

00:50:53.280 Speaker 1 about it. I don't listen to it. [chuckles] I consume a little. Sometimes I'll watch

00:50:57.260 Speaker 1 movies. Um, not because I don't care. I just don't feel the need to. That's another

00:51:02.780 Speaker 1 thing that happens. You just don't care about stuff. Your vices, they go away.

00:51:06.880 Speaker 1 You're just happy. Like you're content with almost anything. You know? It's, you're

00:51:11.020 Speaker 1 gon- You are best getting rid of the... If something makes you feel bad, if you feel

00:51:16.820 Speaker 1 worse afterward than when you did it, there's a very good chance that this is in the

00:51:20.720 Speaker 1 way of what you're trying to do here, and it is limiting you because you believe you

00:51:24.240 Speaker 1 need it. That can be drugs. That can be, uh, entertainment media. It doesn't have to

00:51:29.880 Speaker 1 be. There's nothing wrong with those things inherently, but why you do it is what's

00:51:33.420 Speaker 1 important. And if it is a crutch, you better believe that that crutch is either

00:51:38.360 Speaker 1 gonna be kicked out from underneath you or you will not progress, uh, until you are

00:51:43.280 Speaker 1 willing to demonstrate that you don't need these things anymore. And that ain't easy

00:51:47.440 Speaker 1 to say. You don't like it? Well, [chuckles] okay. You want control over your

00:51:53.380 Speaker 1 reality. You want the gift of everything. Do you want to be able to do anything or

00:51:59.320 Speaker 1 be anything? Like, I don't... I assume that's where this goes. That's the message I

00:52:02.520 Speaker 1 got. [chuckles] Do you want that? You wanna live in your little world where it's

00:52:06.680 Speaker 1 like this, and you believe you can't do things and, you know, you need a, you need

00:52:11.820 Speaker 1 drugs or something else to unwind, and nothing else is okay. There's no judgment on

00:52:16.280 Speaker 1 that. You're gonna have to get rid of self-judgment. You're gonna have to learn how

00:52:19.700 Speaker 1 to stop beating yourself up and stop blaming yourself. You have to be kinder to

00:52:23.440 Speaker 1 yourself. All of, if it's not making you feel better, that should be very

00:52:28.700 Speaker 1 questionable. You should be happier and feel better all the time. You should feel

00:52:32.760 Speaker 1 more connected to your world, to your own life, to the people in it. You lean in.

00:52:37.300 Speaker 1 This is all a process of leaning into your life. It's not leaning away and trying to

00:52:40.620 Speaker 1 separate from it. You are paradoxically leaning more into your life and learning

00:52:47.640 Speaker 1 more about your own attention. You're, you're taking your internal state seriously.

00:52:52.180 Speaker 1 You're taking things seriously that you can feel that you didn't take seriously

00:52:55.159 Speaker 1 before, and you're learning to discern. You're feeling more. You're leaning into

00:53:00.360 Speaker 1 your life, and through that process, you begin to see what is real and what isn't,

00:53:04.340 Speaker 1 what is you and what isn't, what's in your control and what isn't. And these things

00:53:09.360 Speaker 1 all happen naturally as a process of leaning into your life and improving it. Uh, so

00:53:14.200 Speaker 1 that's pretty much it. That's all you gotta do. It's not that complicated. Um,

00:53:20.800 Speaker 1 you have the pieces you need already. Hopefully, those things will help you along

00:53:25.600 Speaker 1 the way, and of course, you have the advantage of knowing that it works. [chuckles]

00:53:31.460 Speaker 1 So that's cool. I mean, assuming you buy, uh, my experiences and what they mean, uh,

00:53:37.300 Speaker 1 I certainly do,

00:53:39.540 Speaker 1 then you can do it too. There's nothing fundamentally different about me compared to

00:53:43.700 Speaker 1 you. Like you've got the same hardware that you need to do this, and if you do it

00:53:48.240 Speaker 1 with others, it will go faster. Uh, if you do it seriously, you do it intently,

00:53:52.780 Speaker 1 you're serious about removing things from your life and

00:53:56.340 Speaker 1 changing yourself in a positive, healthy way to feel better, to feel more connected

00:54:00.600 Speaker 1 to the world around you, to be more at peace, to be happier no matter what is

00:54:04.060 Speaker 1 happening to you,

00:54:06.180 Speaker 1 this stuff will just start happening, and it will keep happening as long as you

00:54:09.980 Speaker 1 continue doing the work that got you there. If you stop doing the work or you stop

00:54:14.720 Speaker 1 believing it, it will close, and it will stop happening, and you'll stop growing.

00:54:20.180 Speaker 1 Uh, so the last thing I'll say is that you need to be prepared to be weird. If

00:54:24.620 Speaker 1 that's not already obvious,

00:54:27.360 Speaker 1 you should be prepared to feel different than the people around you. But of course,

00:54:32.160 Speaker 1 as this happens, you're going to feel compassionate, and you're gonna feel sorry for

00:54:36.840 Speaker 1 them. Do not... As you gain these insights, you're going to feel out of place. You

00:54:42.640 Speaker 1 need to have a community somewhere online somehow. You need to talk to somebody. You

00:54:46.180 Speaker 1 need to not feel alone in this. Because it can be very isolating, and you may feel

00:54:50.932 Speaker 1 the desire to talk to people who aren't ready for this. It is my belief, and,

00:54:57.272 Speaker 1 uh, it is the beliefs of the [chuckles] the people that I s- I've talked to and had

00:55:03.012 Speaker 1 interactions with that, and is evident in my own, you know, curriculum. In

00:55:07.592 Speaker 1 retrospect, I didn't know for a long time that there was a curriculum, but y- you

00:55:11.732 Speaker 1 can see a path in retrospect of assisted growth, that you cannot push

00:55:17.632 Speaker 1 something onto somebody that they're not ready for. If they don't want this, first

00:55:22.352 Speaker 1 of all, it's wrong to shatter their worldview. I don't walk up to people and show

00:55:26.052 Speaker 1 that I can see without my eyeballs because it could really harm them if they're not

00:55:30.972 Speaker 1 ready for that, and it could really damage this whole enterprise. And, um,

00:55:36.912 Speaker 1 socially speaking, if you really want people to turn against you [chuckles] and say,

00:55:40.192 Speaker 1 "This is wrong," uh, that would be a good way to do it, is to terrify them without

00:55:45.172 Speaker 1 giving them the context of, "No, seriously, like, you can do this," like helping

00:55:48.592 Speaker 1 them through it. But generally speaking, if somebody isn't already interested,

00:55:53.271 Speaker 1 you're gonna have to feel it out. You're just gonna have to let them be. Don't try

00:55:57.392 Speaker 1 to fix other people, and don't try to like [chuckles] don't try to blow the doors

00:56:02.012 Speaker 1 off and get, force them through it because it is wrong, and it doesn't work, and it

00:56:06.652 Speaker 1 will cause them to shut down, and you're just going to traumatize them because they

00:56:10.112 Speaker 1 don't have the same tools to recover and make sense of what's happening to them that

00:56:15.052 Speaker 1 you are developing. So you're just hurting them. You're hurting them, and you're

00:56:18.792 Speaker 1 also hurting this whole enterprise. You're making it harder for other people to talk

00:56:22.332 Speaker 1 about this because they're gonna demonize it. So if you don't wanna do that, and you

00:56:27.032 Speaker 1 want it to be a beautiful thing to figure out who you are and explore the nature of

00:56:30.232 Speaker 1 your own reality and big questions and connect beyond yourself, then

00:56:36.232 Speaker 1 don't make us look bad. [chuckles] And don't, don't scare people who aren't

00:56:42.072 Speaker 1 ready for it. But at the same time, one of the most important things you can do to

00:56:47.872 Speaker 1 superchar- supercharge this whole process, besides being yourself and doing what you

00:56:51.352 Speaker 1 feel is right, surprise, surprise, [chuckles] and improving yourself, is helping

00:56:56.432 Speaker 1 other people do the same or in any way. And of course, as you feel more and

00:57:02.392 Speaker 1 care more and notice more, you're naturally gonna wanna help people. You're al- if

00:57:06.312 Speaker 1 you're already following your intuition, you're gonna want to start doing it because

00:57:09.712 Speaker 1 you care more and because you feel connected to them. And then eventually, you start

00:57:13.952 Speaker 1 to feel that you're, like, you're the same person. You're more than just connected.

00:57:18.932 Speaker 1 Like, on some level, we are the same, and you want to help them. It just makes

00:57:24.192 Speaker 1 sense. It's obvious. Not only do you not wanna hurt them anymore, or you don't care

00:57:27.012 Speaker 1 about negative stuff. You don't even wanna entertain it anymore 'cause you can feel

00:57:30.292 Speaker 1 it affecting you. You want to help people that are in a bad place. So

00:57:36.192 Speaker 1 that is totally cool. Go do that every time you feel it. And you're gonna have to

00:57:40.012 Speaker 1 learn how to do that, but don't, um, don't try to force, however excited you might

00:57:44.612 Speaker 1 be, don't try to force this on other people. You're either gonna traumatize them, or

00:57:48.752 Speaker 1 you're gonna scare them off. You're gonna give them things they're not ready for.

00:57:52.572 Speaker 1 And the whole, whole process is just enough. This is like working out. You don't

00:57:56.912 Speaker 1 wanna drop 1,000 pounds on top of somebody's head. They're [chuckles] not gonna get

00:58:00.432 Speaker 1 strong like that. They're gonna get crippled, and they're gonna get scared, and

00:58:04.072 Speaker 1 you're gonna mess them up. So don't do that. Um, you don't have to keep it to

00:58:07.992 Speaker 1 yourself, but just be aware of what you're doing and how it affects others. And with

00:58:12.112 Speaker 1 that, uh, you know, send me a message with your mind one day. Be polite. Maybe I'll

00:58:18.032 Speaker 1 say hey [chuckles] if I know how to do it, if I get it. Um, good luck, and, uh,

00:58:24.392 Speaker 1 have fun. Just remember that this is a profound and personal experience. It is, um,

00:58:31.232 Speaker 1 don't be greedy. Share it when you can, and, uh, be good.

00:58:37.332 Speaker 1 That's the whole point because it's all just you anyway, so you're only hurting

00:58:42.252 Speaker 1 yourself otherwise. Have fun.
